– Carotenodermia/ Hypercarotenemia: Thanks to Beta Carotene, taking excess amount of carrot juice can cause Carotenodermia (Skin Discoloration). It particularly can be seen on the face, hands, palms, and feet soles.

– Reduced Dietary Fiber: Whole carrots are more nutritious than its juice counterparts as juicing removes the important insoluble fiber from them. Accordingly, it is recommended to eat raw carrots instead of drinking juice to meet the daily intake o fibers.

– Indigestion and Flatulence: Some may find it hard to digest the carbohydrates and fibers present in carrots. Thus, drinking carrot juices may lead to loose stools, bloating, cramps, and flatulence.

– Allergy: Individuals that are allergic to potato, nut, or mustard can find carrots pollen intolerable. It’s sporadic but people did report issues like skin rashes, swelling, hives, and diarrhea from having carrots.

While carrots are a great source of dietary fiber, vitamin A, vitamin C, potassium or magnesium, they lack in other important nutrients like calcium and iron. Drinking too much carrot juices will evidently lead to a limited-nutrient diet. So, drink this vitamin-enriched juice within the perimeter and stay healthy.
